I was just sent an email with this being the text.I do not know if it is true or not but consider this a word to the wise and check your noise levels up near Hannibal. Sounds like another money grab, especially with there being no way to determine the loudness other than the officers judgment.


The city of Hannibal Missouri has decided to target all Harley Davidson motorcycles. Their noise ordinance is being enforced supposedly by public sentiment. It is purely a judgment call by the officers. No decibel meters or anything like that! Just an officer’s judgment!
They are stopping bikes right and left and the warning period is over....the fine is $135.00. Second offense up to $500.00.
I guess America's Hometown doesn't want bikers in their town! Come at your own risk!
