Illinois Harassment of Bikers

My fellow bikers look likes the home state is at it again:
Heard from a little Springfield birdie that the Illinois State Police will be having Motorcycle Inspection Stops on June 26th and June 28th in the Shelby, Vandalia and Effingham areas and I received another email saying Grafton or more likely the River Road has been added to the list the persecution continues.

I truly believe that this is an extension of the repeated harassment of 1%ers and event promoters like myself. Should everyone have a license and insurance no doubt but you are also innocent until proven guilty and cannot be forced to testify against yourself in court but on the street you can be forced to show that you do not have what they ask for. Hmm I wonder what the penalty for refusing to show a license and insurance is?

Precisely why I don't go to Illinois anymore. And once the helmet law modification goes into effect in August, I suspect and hope that many more Missourians will choose to ride Missouri highways and frequent Missouri businesses rather than cross into a state where motorcyclists are subjected to continued unwarranted harassment.
