Abraham Licoln Circuit Ride

For three years now, The Lincoln Circuit Ride has brought motorcyclists and others Lincoln enthusiasts in cars along the old 8th Judicial Circuit that Abraham Lincoln rode as a lawyer. At the various courthouses where Abe practiced, local historians give entertaining examples of what Mr. Lincoln did in those communities. This has been recognized as an excellent melding of history and a contemporary road event.

The 2009 Lincoln Circuit Ride will be held on four different Sundays to complete the entire circuit. The first weekend begins in Springfield at 9AM at 8th and Capitol, just north of Lincoln’s Home. Registration will begin at 8:00 AM:

April 26 ~ departing from Springfield and ending ending at the McLean/Logan marker

Jun 14 ~ departing from Postville Courthouse in Lincoln 9:00AM and ending at Piatt/Champaign marker

July 19 ~ Departing from Urbana at Carle Park 9:00AM and ending at Coles/Shelby County line marker
