Another Tragic Loss
It is always a sad time whenever we lose a bother or sister motorcycle rider whether we knew them or not. However, it is especially grievous when it is someone we know.
You may have heard on the news that a young lady rider was killed in a crash early yesterday morning on south Broadway. I have recently found out that the lady was Nikki who was a bartender at Shady Jack's.
Our condolences from the entire Biking Life family go out to Nikki's family and loved ones.
BMW S1000RR St Louis Debut
Racer Nate Kern is shown here talking about the new BMW entry into the World Super Bike races. In street legal form, the S1000RR has 193 hp and weights about 450 lbs with all fluids and gas. The price starts at $13,800 but you'll want to add $1,400 for the race ABS and dynamic traction control system that even senses the lean angle when making adjustments. The bike was unveiled in St Louis at the Moto Museum/Triumph Grill.

Bike Nights
Well we had a nice crowd show up at the Pasta House last night. It was very cool to see our friends from the Blue Knights show up and support this night. The Pasta House has all you can eat on Mondays and after a busy weekend this is a great way to do something nice for the woman. Tonight is Two Wheel Tuesday at No Jacks, where they have an awesome appetizer deal before 8:00 PM and at 8:30 they have that special weekly drawing. Tonight's drawing is in excess of 1000. I will be here for a short while and I hope to see some of you as well.
