Fatboy's Today

Thanks to everyone who came out to Fatboy's in DeSoto today for our 4th Annual Christmas Party for the Jefferson County Mission. The weather was awesome and we were blessed with a very good crowd. Those that came once again demonstrated that true bikers are among the most generous people in the world. I once again thank all of you for your contributions to today's success.

Favorable Light

Below is a link to a story that appeared recently in the Alton Telegraph about the Dreamweavers Shop With a Cop event. This is cool and shows that motorcyclists do things to help the community. Also here they refer to them as a motorcycle club not a motorcycle gang, so maybe some folks really do get it. Here is the link.

Christmas Spirit

I was out and about running today which is pretty much a normal weekend for us but I was excited to see so many people out today. Doc's had a great turnout for their Open House and I hear that Gateway BMW and Bourbeuse did as well. After the big showings the week before at Ted's Motorcycle World and Big St Charles it appears folks are finally getting the Christmas spirit. I ask you to please patronize our advertisers over the holidays. They truly appreciate your business and welcome all bikers or riders. If they ask and you could tell you heard about them through The Biking Life that is great but please support them no matter what. I wish you and yours the merriest of Christmases also just a brief reminder tomorrow is our Christmas Party at Fatboy's in DeSoto, MO. As I write this I am also baking brownies without my favorite ingredient for the bake sale portion of tomorrows festivities.

Surprising

It is surprising to me that someone who seems to want to speak to motorcyclists can speak glowingly about any event that doesn't allow all motorcyclists to enter. The Riding experience is a freedom experience yet some think it is okay for others to infringe on individuals or groups freedoms. Not me that is why we quit going to and covering these events. They are not about the brotherhood of two wheels but just another money grab from bikers.
