Big MO Biker Bash Weekend

I don't mean to show favoritism to any event but if you can make only one event the Big MO Biker Bash should be the one you attend. The festivities start this evening with the Meet and Greet at TJ's Bar and Grill in Pevely, MO with world renonwned motorcycle sled puller Carl Pingel and his team of talented riders. Then the rest of the fun kicks off tomorrow morning with events at the Jefferson County Fairigrounds in Hillsboro, MO including The Biking Life Motorcycle Show. This promises to be one fo the best dhows of the year and the $500 Best of Show guarantees there will be some quality bikes and builders for you to check out. In addition to the bike show, TJ himself will be running some rodeo events and there will be the sled pulls as well plus music all day long.

There are also a lot of quality vendors so make sure you get there early. Sunday there will be mixed martial arts action featuring Mike Green as well as lots of other things to keep you entertained. Also there will be some super deals avaialable on new parts from Jireh Cycles Sales so this is a can't miss event.

At Least one event I forgot to list

There is a benefit all day Saturday at the Cellar Room on North Broadway in Alton, Illinois. This is to help a brother who has major troubles right now. This should be a great day there will be music, auctions, good friends*there always is at the Cellar Room) and around 4 PM the Big Foot Truck will be there crushing cars. I think the truck will be there most of the day but the car crushing demo is around 4 please come out and support this event. thanks

Bike Show in Farmington

Mike Lane may look so happy because he is surrounded by The Biking Life Beauties or it might be that his bike was just awarded Best of Show at the Ink Addition Studio and Jay's Pub & Grill first bike show in Farmington. The girls might be hiding it, but Mike's bike sports a gorgeous paint job by Keith Summer.

Where Will It End?

To help cover the higher cost of gasoline, Holly Springs, GA (a suburb of Atlanta) is adding a $12 surcharge to each traffic ticket. While I rarely get traffic tickets anymore, I wonder how many other places or businesses will start adding a fuel surcharge. I hope this doesn't give Jim any ideas for the magazine distribution.

People Never Cease to Amaze

I know we all have bad days and such but there are a number of people out there that truly disappoint me. People who have gotten things from others or light shown on their plight to help them but when they are asked to help those that helped them they turn their backs. This happened again just yesterday, a lady many people admire was at the same event I was at. This lady had been the subject of a feature Monty had written a few months back trying to shine some light on her and trying to help her out.

I told this person and her handler about our upcoming ride for Monty to help with some of the expenses he incurred when he had his stroke and could they possibly donate something signed. They said they needed to think about it and would let me know by the end of the day. Yep you guessed it that was the last I heard from them.

I realize they get hit up all the time for donations, so do I. I know not a lot of people say thanks afterward I get the same thing. But I also truly believe that you help and support those that help and support you. That is the biker way obviously there are a lot of folks out there that are not really bikers but try to pass themselves off as such.

My apologies

I offer all of you who read the magazine online my apologies. The latest issue is now available although not in a format I would like. I am working on getting a new web person and hopefully soon this will be rectified. I thank you for your patience and your reading of the magazine in all formats.

Jim
